06/16/2008 GALBO PROMOTED TO LIEUTENANT - Mayor Louis D'Arminio promoted James Galbo to the rank of Lieutenant during a ceremony held at the Saddle Brook Police headquarters.

06/15/2008 LIEUTENANT RETIRES - Lt. Bernard "Bernie" Ahrens officially retired from the Saddle Brook Police Department after over 27 years of duty to the Saddle Brook Police Department. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

06/06/2008 LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS - Officers from the Saddle Brook Police Department participated in the 25th Anniversary running of the event. This year not only marked and anniversary, but also a milestone as the department raised over $20,000 for Special Olympics NJ.

04/01/2008 SERGEANT RETIRES - Sgt Richard Lasiw officially retired from the Saddle Brook Police Department after over 34 years of duty to law enforcement. Sgt lasiw started his career with the Hackensack Police Department before transferring to Saddle Brook in the mid 1970's. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

11/12/2007 SBPD Receives New Bullet Resistant Vests -  the department took delivery of 32 brand new bullet resistant vests for officer within the department.  The vests were purchased with over $30,000 in Federal and State grant money. No local money was used to replace the vests worn by most of the department.  BP vests are normally guaranteed for a period of 5 years.

10/25/2007 North Jersey AAA Honors SBPD - at a luncheon sponsored by AAA of North Jersey, the Saddle Brook Police Department was given the AAA North Jersey Community Traffic Safety Program Award of Excellence. The award was based upon motor vehicle crash statistics and programmatic initiatives run by the department in 2006 to promote pedestrian, bicycle and motor vehicle safety.
